A sliding scale is available on a limited basis when finances are a barrier. I'm happy to discuss this during your free consultation. Payment is due at the time of service through a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal. Contact me today at 626-765-7602 or reginatrammel@icloud.com

Why private pay?

  • It means more privacy, no insurance company in our sessions, and the freedom to work at our own pace — without managed care dictating your treatment.

A Good Faith Estimate is provided verbally at initial phone consultation, and will be included as part of assessment process and paperwork at intake.

About the investment — and how insurance can help.

I am a private pay therapist, which means you pay directly rather than through insurance. Many clients are reimbursed for a significant portion of the cost. Here's how it works in three simple steps.

Step 1:

We meet & I provide a superbill

After each session, I give you a superbill — an official receipt with the billing codes your insurance company needs.

Step 2:

You submit it to your insurer-

Send the superbill to your insurance company — most have an online portal, app, or simple mail-in process.

Step 3:

They reimburse you directly-

Your insurer pays you back based on your out-of-network benefits — often 50–80% of the session cost.

Not sure if you have out-of-network benefits? Most PPO plans do.

Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

"Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits, and what is my reimbursement rate for outpatient psychotherapy?"
