Therapy for anxiety & panic

In-person in the San Gabriel Valley · Telehealth across California & Illinois

Anxiety is not just in your head. It lives in your body — in a racing heart, a tight chest, shallow breath, disrupted sleep, and a digestive system that won't settle. It shapes your thoughts, your decisions, and how safe you feel in the world. Treating anxiety effectively means addressing all of it: the neurological, the psychological, and the deeply personal.

I work with adults navigating all forms of anxiety, including:

  • Generalized anxiety Panic disorder OCD

  • Episodic anxiety Chronic worry Perfectionism

  • Burnout Social anxiety Medical trauma recovery

My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and deeply personal

Anxiety treatment works best when it goes beyond coping strategies. We look at what's underneath, including the patterns, memories, triggers, and meanings that have been driving your symptoms, and we will work together to resolve them at the source.

Panic and dread can feel like your body and mind are betraying you.

The goal in therapy is to help all parts of you come back into alignment so that you can move through low-level stress without panic, and manage high-stress moments in a healthy way.

Body-based: Somatic & nervous system work

When your nervous system is dysregulated, the first step is teaching your body to find calm again. We use breath, somatic awareness, and body-based tools to regulate from the inside out.

Thought-based: Cognitive & behavioral tools

We identify your thought patterns and triggers, then work to reframe and detach from the anxious narratives that keep you stuck by replacing them with new mental and broader emotional maps.

Meaning-based: Existential & mindfulness work

Anxiety often carries deeper questions about purpose, safety, and mortality. Existential and mindfulness-based approaches help you meet those questions with clarity rather than dread.

Self-based: Inner child & values work

Sometimes anxiety signals parts of you that need re-parenting or emotional safety. We explore your values, strengths, and what actually matters to you — building a life anxiety has less grip on.

You don't have to keep managing anxiety alone. Relief is possible — and it starts with one conversation.

Existential therapy for anxiety

What is the Meaning of Anxiety?

Existentialists have long understood that anxiety is part of being human. We face uncertainty, mortality, questions of meaning and worth — and for many people, these deeper undercurrents fuel the anxiety they experience day to day. Existential therapy brings these themes into the room, addressing both the conscious and unconscious roots of anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout in a way that creates lasting change rather than temporary relief.

Christian integration, when desired

For clients whose faith is central to their life, I offer a Christian mindfulness integration — bringing spiritual practices and values into the therapeutic work as a genuine resource for healing, not an afterthought.
